You may have noticed some of these pests in your yard or elsewhere in the community. We’ve spotted a few at our very own library. Spotted Lanternflies are an invasive pest that can feed on a wide variety of plants such as grapevine, hops, maple, walnut, and fruit trees.
The Spotted Lanternfly not only poses a threat to trees and forests, but there could be ripple effects in our ecological system. The destruction of the trees could then impact birds, mammals, and reptiles that rely on that vegetation for habitat and food.
Come join us to learn about how to identify and report these invasive pests, and ways that we can work to stop the spread of these insects in our community.
Registration is NOT required, but we’d love to have you register if you think you might be able to join us.
