Ravena Coeymans Selkirk welcomed another new business in May – HEARt Ear Boutique. Our community now has its own hearing specialist! Bob LaCosta and his wife Vincenzina Cavaleri-LaCosta of Selkirk have worked in the field for decades. They have other locations in Glenmont and Coxsackie.
The RCS Community Business Association, elected leaders, fellow business owners and friends gathered on Friday, May 17 to help Bob and Vini officially open their Ravena location with a ribbon cutting. HEARt Ear Boutique shares space with Southtown’s Optical at 2447 Rte 9W in Ravena.
Bob referenced Discover RCS’s Community Map during his short comments at the ribbon cutting.
“[The map] is symbolic of what’s going on here in Ravena. We have the village, we have the town and we have the business association all working together to bring this town to a place of glory, a place where it should be. It’s a historic town. We were founded in the 1600s. Henry Hudson came up here as a businessman as well as an explorer. So we have a rich history and we’re proud of our little part in it,” said Bob.
