Holiday parade float

A Whoville inspired float in the 2024 parade.

The Village of Ravena is gearing up to come alive this Saturday, December 6, for the much-anticipated Christmas Parade. This hallmark event showcases the spirit of togetherness and holiday cheer in our community. Starting at Coeymans Landing and culminating at Mosher Park, the parade promises to bring joy to all who attend, with floats and participants highlighting the very best of our area.

This year’s parade is shaping up to be a feast for the senses, with a festive array of floats representing local organizations and groups. From our dedicated first responders and fire departments to churches, schools, and other local organizations, the creativity and pride on display are sure to inspire. Each float aims to capture the magic of the holiday season, spreading cheer to spectators of all ages lining the streets of Ravena.

The sense of community will be palpable as neighbors, friends, and families gather to watch the procession. Floats adorned with twinkling lights and decorations (plus candy for the children!) will make their way through the village to the sounds of holiday music and the applause of an enthusiastic crowd. It’s a true celebration of the vibrant and diverse community that makes Ravena so special.

The parade’s finish at Mosher Park is just the beginning of the evening’s festivities. Attendees can look forward to light refreshments and snacks. Families will also enjoy a meet-and-greet with Santa Claus himself, who will welcome visitors from his beautifully decorated sleigh.

Kids pick up candy along the parade route.

And the fun doesn’t stop there. Holiday music will fill the air as children and adults alike take part in a variety of activities. A roaring bonfire will offer a cozy gathering spot, adding to the festive atmosphere and bringing people together in the spirit of the season.

The success of the Village of Ravena Christmas Parade is made possible by the hard work and dedication of everyone involved —from organizers and volunteers to participants and attendees. This annual event reminds us of the importance of community and the joy that comes from celebrating together.

Thank you in advance to everyone helping to make this year’s parade and festivities truly special. Whether you’re part of a float, serving refreshments, or simply planning to enjoy the evening with loved ones, your presence helps bring the magic of the holiday season to life.

Here’s to a joyful celebration and to many more moments of connection in the year ahead. Happy Holidays, RCS Community!
