Farmers’ Market Returns to RCS This Summer

/ / Community, Events

Fresh produce, local vendors, live music and community connection are returning to Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk this summer with the new Coeymans Riverfront Farmers’ Market.

The seasonal market will take place every Thursday from June 4 through September 24 beginning at 4:30 pm at Coeymans Landing. Residents and visitors alike are invited to shop local, support small businesses, and enjoy an evening along the Hudson River.Person handing tomatoes to a shopper at a farmers' market.

Following the Farmers’ Market each week, attendees are encouraged to stay for the Town of Coeyman’s popular “Evening on the Green” music series beginning at 6 p.m*. The weekly concerts have become a summertime tradition, bringing families and friends together for live entertainment in a relaxed outdoor setting.

Organizers say vendors are still needed for the market season — especially farms offering fresh fruits and vegetables. The application to vend at the market is here.

Current vendors include:

In addition to shopping and live music, visitors can look forward to special community activities throughout the season. Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners will attend select markets, including opening day, to share gardening knowledge and resources with the community.

Opening day festivities will also include a ribbon cutting with Albany County Comptroller Susan Rizzo and free ice cream for children thanks to Stewart’s Shops and the Town of Coeymans. Music by The Hawthornes will begin at 5 pm.

Organizers extend their gratitude to Bank of Greene County for supporting the farmers’ market. The market is coordinated by the Town of Coeymans.

The market is designed to create a welcoming gathering place where neighbors can connect while supporting local agriculture, artisans, food producers, and entrepreneurs from throughout the region.

Join us at Coeymans Landing on Thursdays in Coeymans to shop local, enjoy live music, and spend time with the community! See you there.

* Music by The Hawthornes will begin at 5 pm on opening day, June 4.
