Celebrate Community at the Friendship Festival – Saturday, August 23 at Mosher Park

/ / Community

Get ready, Ravena! The annual Friendship Festival returns to Mosher Park on Saturday, August 23, bringing together neighbors, friends, and families for a full day of fun, food, and festivities.

There are many vendors, including classic fair food vendors, at the festival.

The day kicks off with a parade at noon, starting from Pieter B. Coeymans School and ending at Mosher Park. Everyone is welcome to join the fun — community members can walk, create a float, or drive a special vehicle in the parade. It’s a great way to show off community spirit and set the stage for a memorable festival.

Once at Mosher Park, you’ll find local vendors offering handmade goods, crafts, and plenty of delicious food to enjoy. The festival is the perfect place to shop small, support local businesses, and grab a tasty treat.

Kids will love this year’s activities! Families can enjoy face painting, a tie-dye station, a bounce house, a foam party, and much more. Plus, don’t miss the always-popular watermelon eating contest — be sure to sign up to secure your spot!

And of course, it’s not a party without music! DJ services will be provided by Break-A-Legg throughout the day, keeping the festival lively and fun. Then from 4 to 9 pm, enjoy live performances by the Musicats Quartet, Step Sisters (with line dancing!), and Dusk ’Til Dawn. For the full music schedule, visit the Ravena Celebrations and Community Building Facebook page.

Bounce houses, face painting, carnival games, a foam party and lots of other activities will be available for kids.

Finally, no Friendship Festival would be complete without a spectacular fireworks show at dusk. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and settle in with your family and friends as the sky lights up over Mosher Park. It’s the perfect way to close out a summer evening in Ravena.

The Friendship Festival is more than just an event — it’s a celebration of what makes our community strong: neighbors coming together, supporting local businesses, and sharing in the simple joy of summertime traditions.

Mark your calendar, invite your friends, and join us at Mosher Park on Saturday, August 23. We’ll see you there!
